This blog is to help potential Lasik patients educate themselves before selecting a procedure. I did plenty of research before I decided to finally get Lasik surgery and I highly recommend you do the same. Anything that has to do with your eyes is obviously very important and an area you don’t want to mess around with. There are numerous types of Lasik eye surgery out there and not one type is always right for everyone.

Most doctors out there offer a free examination to determine if Lasik is for you. I would say 9 our of 10 doctors will tell you yes even though you might not be a good candidate. That’s why it’s very important to find a good eye doctor who has done thousands of surgeries. The doctor I used in San Jose, CA did over 30,000 procedures and on patients like professional athletes (San Francisco 49ers, Oakland Raiders, etc) and movie stars.

That was enough proof to me that he was legit since athletes who depend on clear vision trusted his work. I am no pro in selecting doctors and everyone has their own opinion. I just advise you to don’t go for the lowest price surgery and spend a little more (if necessary) to get a doctor who can back his work. Like I said before, you don’t want to mess around with your vision. You only have one pair of eyes!
